NASSPE Midwest
Regional Conference
Saturday October 14th, 2006
The NASSPE Midwest regional conference will take place on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at the Marriott at Hickory Ridge,
about 25 minutes west of Chicago's Midway Airport. More information about the Marriott Hickory Ridge is available at
http://marriott.com/property/propertypage/CHIHR.
The conference will start at 9:00 AM, so if you're coming from far away, you might want to stay
overnight Friday night and/or Saturday night. For that reason, we've reserved a block of rooms for just $79 a night
. Update 9/25/06, the $79/night rooms have been sold out, however, rooms are still available for $99/night.

Balancing Leadership through Self Reflection: This workshop is geared for those who wish to develop the skills needed to function in the high-stakes high-stress job of teaching and administration. These skills are particularly useful for implementing new programs such as single-sex classrooms. This workshop will provide many useful tips to enhance your single-gender program. Trent Mosley, principal, Longfellow Elementary School, Saginaw, Michigan.
Best practices for teaching math to middle-school boys (Professor Amanda Davis,
